Our Story
Where It All Began
WillowCreek Custom Homes is owned and operated by husband and wife team, Michael and Laurie Cheatham. Both hail from Rockwall, Texas where they fell in love with their charismatic town and community. They know that your home is where your life happens and being able to build and take part in that brings them joy.
Taking new clients out for a cup of coffee and listening to their ideas about their dream home or renovation, is just part of how they do business. WillowCreek Custom Homes is a family owned and operated business. They consider each client an extension of their family. They work closely with you the entire phase of construction to ensure you don’t ever feel like “just a house”. This is one of the biggest investments you make in a lifetime and they never lose sight that you chose them. It is always so exciting for them to take on a new project and bring someone’s vision to life.
Meet Michael
Michael developed a passion for craftsmanship before he was old enough to reach a doorknob, learning the tricks of the trade from his father who owns and operates a construction company. Carrying on family tradition, he began his own career in commercial remodeling and custom home renovations. He ventured into new home construction working for high end home builders across North Texas. And today, Michael brings nearly two decades of expertise to the table, alongside his dedication to excellence, an unwavering work ethic, and meticulousness that has brought him success in an industry he is so passionate about.
Meet Laurie
An eye for design and a passion for building relationships, Laurie brings nearly two decades of customer service and operational excellence to the business. She loves sitting down with clients and brainstorming ways to customize their dream home. What will it take to make this house your home? Laurie is your go-to person for connecting you with the best vendors in the metroplex. She always keeps your vision and budget in mind. Laurie ensures the ideas and excitement in the initial consultation are effectively captured and implemented into every single home they renovate or build.
